Robbie is our creative graphic designer and started working for Urban Play in August 2019. With his fun, hardworking & laid-back attitude, he immediately became an integral part of the team. From designing marketing material and campaigns to co-designing play and fitness spaces and creating innovative and eye-catching presentations for tenders and clients, Robbie’s role is fundamental to nearly all aspects of the Urban Play process. We sat down with Robbie to ask him a few questions, here is what he had to say….
1.What do you love about working at Urban Play?
What I love about Urban Play is the platform it has given me to succeed in life. Working in a structed environment with clear briefs, approachable friendly team members, a clear brand identity but with the ability to also create and design freely is a very rare opportunity to be able to have. Tie this in with what I learn daily at Urban Play, working under some of Brisbane’s best landscape architects, play space designers and a creatively driven, experienced marketing manager who helps me push the boundaries of our design and make the company grow, there is nowhere Id rather be plying my daily trade. The company culture is bursting at the seems too, whether it be the in house banter or the pre covid drinks, to be part of a team that’s more a family makes a difference you can’t explain.
2. What is your favourite design that you have worked on?
My favourite design so far is St Andrews school. I was able to work closely with Tobi designing the layout of the park and to actually see the lines come to life is a pretty awesome feeling!
3. What is your favourite marketing campaign or asset that you have worked on?
My favourite marketing campaign Sarah and I have developed is our Local Experts campaign. With this I was able to design infographics, push the boundary of our logo and make some fun graphics for documents and emails that really relayed some of our core values, which is exciting to be apart of.
