2023 may be the Year of the Rabbit in the Chinese Zodiac but for Queensland Tourism it is the Year of Accessible Tourism. The Queensland Government has committed $12 million to upgrading accessibility in the industry with $8 million pledged to improve infrastructure through the Accessible Tourism Infrastructure Grant.

These upgrades will help more people see and explore the Sunshine State and provide better holiday experiences for visitors of all abilities. The grants form part of the Queensland Government’s Towards Tourism 2032 vision for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games that will bring athletes and visitors with varying abilities and strengths to Brisbane.

The grant has a focus on projects that increase the number of businesses that provide exceptional and accessible customer experiences, positively impact the community and provide accessibility for visitors and those with a disability.

Urban Play can support businesses in creating sensory friendly environments and spaces, infrastructure upgrades to common areas such as playgrounds or waterparks, and improvements and value-adding through the addition of accessible play features for visitors.

There’s plenty of other reasons your park needs a play space and Urban Play can assist you in creating caravan park play spaces that draw families and visitors in of all abilities. With a wide variety of accessible play features available, such as zero-depth splash pads, wheelchair carousals and ping pong tables, accessible playground equipment and more, we can support you in creating the perfect play space for your caravan park.
