Jubilee Park, Beaudesert

Jubilee Park has taken on a fresh new look with the installation of a colourful playground with something for children of all ages.  This all-abilities playground caters to a broad spectrum of physical and intellectual disablities. The centrepiece of the playground is a 9.15m high custom-built Majestic Climbing Tower in hues of beautiful blues adorned with locally designed artworks at the top of the tower. Waylene Currie, emerging Mununjali Artist was commissioned for the ten designs that reflect the importance of community for the youth of Beaudesert.

With multiple entry points, children can climb or crawl into the Majestic Tower by the two green or brown climbing nets where they can then race to the top by scaling the four level tower. After catching their breath, children can twist and turn down one of the large slides or feel the sensation of speed by sliding down the straight 9.5m long slide.

A brightly coloured, geometric BLOQX will allow for hours of imaginative play filled with instant action and laughter. This eye-catching, active play piece is fitted with professional climbing grips with blocks at different heights for different abilities. Kids can watch the world go around with the Net Twister where they can climb, twist and spin each other around followed by a ride on the flying fox. At 9.5m long this element is set to be a favourite letting kid’s laugh and glide through the air while training their legs, arms and core muscles with the a soft landing.

A single Birds Nest Swing will make up hours of fun where children can swing towards the sky alone or in groups. A three-bay swing with a cradle seat, standard seat and another bird’s nest swing is perfect for children of all ages and abilities. The installation of a Double Mouse house has Scenic Rim residents wheel-y excited.

Working with the Scenic Rim Council, Naturform and Mode Design,  Urban Play is thrilled to bring this playground to the Beaudesert region which focuses on active, outdoor play and creates a space where boring is banished.
