Word has already travelled afar, with families travelling from Rockhampton, Buderberg and Agnes Waters for the unofficial opening of the state-of-the-art playground designed by Urban Play.
One of the most visually striking pieces day and night, is the giant luminous Skywalk system connected by four elevated bright green cabins. The thrill will be the climb to reach the top via three different angled nets and the high-speed way down via two slides.
This along with the giant birdsnest swing and skateboard rail, will be a major drawcard for the older kids challenging their coordination and balance as they go higher and higher.
For the smaller kids, a number of age appropriate equipment has been carefully selected with sensory, physical, social and imaginative play options.

Also in the junior play zone is an interactive climbing tower with every single surface an exciting invitation to play, a ground level custom play panel where their imagination can run wild, multiple swinging options, a 4-way in-ground trampoline and a custom log mound embankment slide. The play options are truly endless.

The redeveloped Alf Larson Park has provided a focal point for tourists and the township of Miriam Vale. When planning the redevelopment of Alf Larson/Lions Park in Miriam Vale, Gladstone Regional Council wanted the facility to make a statement. Miriam Vale is the southern gateway to the Gladstone Region and Council, aware that first impressions count, wanted the park to feel inviting and fun for visitors and present them with welcome respite from their travels. It had to also serve as a community hub and encourage increased activity within the town's business centre. A key ingredient in achieving this was the inclusion of a first class playground catering for all ages from toddlers to teens. Council engaged Urban Play to deliver this important asset and the unique, innovative and safe play equipment, coupled with the appealing layout of the installations, has resulted in a playground the envy of many larger centres. Urban Play were with Council every step of the way from concept to completion and their professional approach and attention to detail were pivotal to Council delivering an eye-catching playground that promises much fun for youngsters while retaining the character of the township.
